Robyn Andrews and Fancianna Capture CPEDI 3* Victory at 2017 Adequan® Global Dressage Festival

Wellington, FL – January 21, 2017 – Week two of the 2017 Adequan® Global Dressage Festival (AGDF), features CPEDI 1*/2*/3* Para Dressage, presented by Mane Stream courtesy of Rowan O’Riley, Mission Control, Adequan®, and Nutrena. Competition continued Saturday at The Stadium at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC), in Wellington, FL.

The CPEDI concludes on January 22 with a full schedule of classes beginning at 10 a.m., including Para Freestyle CPEDI 3* tests. The 2017 AGDF hosts seven CDI events, two CPEDI competitions, and national shows through March 25.

Robyn Andrews and Fancianna

Robyn Andrews (CAN) and Fancianna, a 2001 Friesian x Andalusian mare owned by Andrews, were victorious once again today in the Para Individual Championship Grade I – CPEDI 3* with a score of 70.036%.

Andrews commented, “Our ride went really good today. Fancy (Fancianna) seemed to really listen to my aids, so everything seemed to flow well.”

Placing second to Andrews in the Para Individual Championship Grade I – CPEDI 3* was Judy Schloss (CAN) and Lieutenant Lobin, a 2004 Danish Warmblood gelding (Lobster x Farine) owned by Schloss, with a 66.488%. Third place was awarded to Roxanne Trunnell (USA) and NTEC Daytona Beach, a 2002 Westphalian mare (Don bedo x Weindame) owned by Roxanne Trunnell and Kai Handt, with a score of 63.690%.

were honored 
with a presentation in the Global Arena at AGDF.
Other classes of the day included the Para Individual Championship Grade II – CPEDI 3* won by Laurietta Oakleaf (USA) and Niekele Fan Busenitz, a 2004 Friesian stallion (Sape 381 x Wemke H x Fetse 349) owned by Laurietta Oakleaf, with a score of 70.931%. The Para Individual Championship Grade IV – CPEDI 3*awarded a win to Eleanor Brimmer (USA) and London Swing, a 2002 Hanoverian gelding (Londonderry x  Ribanna x Rubinstein I) she owns, with a score of 65.163%.

Katie Jackson (USA) and Wembley, a 2004 Westphalian gelding (Wolkensteinn II x Stutbach I Regata x Regazzoni) owned by Jackson, concluded the day with a win in the Para Individual Championship Grade V – CPEDI 3* with a score of 64.921%.

Jackson is a Grade V Para-Equestrian and an above-knee amputee since 2015 due to a rare form of sarcoma.

“This week is our first CPEDI and our first time down centerline in this amazing Stadium, here at Global,” said Jackson. “Being here means a lot. It actually gets me a little choked up! With everything that’s gone on in the last year and a half, with overcoming the cancer, and the amputation, just being able to ride again is amazing.”
