Friday night USA rider Laura Graves claimed her third consecutive Freestyle victory aboard her 2016 Olympic mount, Verdades. The pair rode to the highest score ever recorded at the Adequan® Global Dressage Festival, earning 84.975% from judges.

Lyle commented- “The music and choreography was actually Wizard’s old music that we used together, so I haven’t ridden it since 2014. We are in the process of creating a new freestyle with Terry Gallo for Salvino that will be more difficult.

This was a fairly simple floor plan, but it got job done of getting him in and getting him a qualifying score and giving him a good experience so I hope that maybe by the Nations Cup, if not then then by the Tryon CDI to have his new freestyle.”

Young Juan Matute Guimon, who announced his newly acquired USA citizenship on Friday night, rode to a freestyle that he and his father choreographed together. His mother selected and implemented the music, creating a “homemade recipe.”
